About symbols used on ground in German training units.
On many wartime photos we can see groups of young German pilots waiting for the coming back of a/c of their comrads and instructors. It seems they used flags and panels with symbols or (big) letters. For example : flags with black (?) or red (?) cross, (wooden ?) round panels with letters “L” (colors ?) or “”R” (colors) …
Please what are the signification, colors of these symbols ? there are very probably others. Thank you. Phil. Ps : sorry for my bad English. |
