wreck of coast Finike, Turkey
A World War II war plane, believed to be a British bomber, has been found at the bottom of the sea off the Mediterranean coast of Turkey.

Hello,
Turkey, some 24 Beaufighters. all TF 10's from August 47 til 1951. What is/was the difference between the u/c of a Beaufighter and a Beaufort ? Turkey had some 30 Beauforts between 1944 and 1947. Several RAF Beaufighters were "interned" in Turkey during "WW2", some came down on land. 16 and 19 Sqdns SAAF and USAAF also in the Middle East used the Beaufighter. Alex |
