Bf 109, TO + JZ

Hello all together,

is there something known (W.Nr., unit, type) about the mentioned Bf 109. It was damaged in Cambrai on February 06, 1944. Maybe it's an G-12 because it was transfered by FF Läbe (first name known ?) from Wenzendorf.

Best regards
Rasmussen

Re: Bf 109, TO + JZ

Hi,

can it be Läbe from JG 101 / later JG 53?
in July 44 Oberfeldwebel Läbe 2./JGR200 - see PN (...... Flug 2501 at 27.04.45)

then u have Ernst (Feldwebel) JG76 in Oct.44 *29.10.1921 Obergläsersdorf

Re: Bf 109, TO + JZ

Many thanks for your efforts, lisis and RT,

"My" Läbe is the pilot mentioned from Walter Waiss (in contrast to him I have the complete book) and not the JG 76 - or ZG - pilot. Unfortunately his informations to the books are not correct sometimes.

So would be interesting if the I./ JG 101 was station in Tarbes - Ossun in August 1943 (like the JGr. West) - the Holmes site say Pau.

Best regards

Re: Bf 109, TO + JZ

According to Meyer/Carlsen:
St/JG 101 in Pau-Ost 04.43-06.44
1/JG 101 Pau-Ost 04.43-06.44
2/JG 101 Pau-West 04.43-06.44
3/JG 101 Lourdes 04.43-01.44. Ossun 01.44-06.44.
Allways be caerfull with the entries at Holms site. It does contain some/lot of errors.

Re: Bf 109, TO + JZ

Many thanks Junker,

the problem is following: if Läbe was an member of JG 101 (regarding his flown a/c's it seems so) then parts of the JG 101 were station in Tarbes - Ossun and not in Pau --- he started from August 1943 - January 1944 and April 1944 - June 1944 exclusivly from Tarbes - Ossun (except of an week).

Or --- he was an member of JGr.West (station in Tarbes) but then seems it doesn't fit with the a/c's.

Now ... I registered him as member of JG 101.

Best regards

Re: Bf 109, TO + JZ

Rasmu, a quesion a bit a part , but to do with G-12, hv you any clue suggesting that the 19254/VN+QQ was an G-12, I know that he was lost on 1943 with JG52, but as it was a crashlanding maybe % damage is wrong ??
Other possibility, is .N+QQ fitting with any STKZ of Bf109 ??

Hi Rasmussen.

1/Jgr. West was stationed at Tarbes-Ossun from april 43 to may 44. Renamed 4/Jgr. Süd it stayed there untill beginning june 44.
