Re: Photos 8-17
The second photo is, several of us (Rabe Anton, G Morrison and Jim Perry) think, 2208 damaged as follows:
Fw 190A-2, WNr 2208, flown and crashed by Oblt. Herbert Huppertz, of 10/JG 5. He was an RKT and scored 70 abschusse. This happened on 15-Sept-42. He was Staffelkapitain and was injured in the crash. This happened near Mogensback, Denmark. The "o" has a slash which I cannot duplicate. It is listed as a 30% damaged. The aircraft displays some A-4 characteristics such as the antenna lead. JG 5 received many A-2 and A-3 "recycled" machines from JGs 2 and 26 during this time. A dead giveaway for JG 5 is the large KZ. 2208 had two more "lives" within the Erg. Staffel of SKG 10 in 1943 before being destroyed in the third crash on 27-Jun-43. |

I will try to obtain it, and also see if the farm in the background is from Denmark.

Re: Photos 8-17
II can now confirm 100% that it's the crashlanding of Huppertz 15-09-42 at the farm St. Mogensbaek/DK.
