Post Luftwaffe Propellor Identification

Help needed to Identify a metal propellor, any information would be useful!

Originally informed that it was from a JU 87 Stuka (unknown variant) captured or shot down in Africa by Australian Forces, subsequently souvenired to Australia.

On the base of the propellor is the following information....

BA 2082 (in a hexagonal stamp)

9-11073.10
___
625
___

ZU.W.N 23.702/2

23567

The propellor has been painted black at some stage (very worn now), with the 23.702/2 hand painted in red on one side of the prop as well.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Mark.

Re: Luftwaffe Propellor Identification

HI Mark!

Me110 used 9-11073 as far as I know.

The early Ju87 prop was an eact copy of the American Hamilton Standard...so if it looks like a US blade, then it is Stuka.

The later Stuka took the 9-30308.11.

Smile Re: Luftwaffe Propellor Identification

Thanks Mike.

I read on a similar site that this prop might have been from a Messerschmitt 110 C or D model.. so that seems to be that then.. not a Stuka but a 110!
Now if only i could track down where and when it came from!

Re: Luftwaffe Propellor Identification

Hi Mark, I can give some concrete info and some possible info for this blade!
It was fitted to either:
Bf109E with DB601A/N,
Bf110 with DB601A/N or,
ARADO 196 with BMW132K.
The BA 2082 number is the quality inspector stamp.
I am sure the 23.702/2 number indicates that this was blade number 2 on the complete prop assy numbered 23.702.
I believe that the blade individual serial number is 23567.

Lastly, N.Africa....probably 109E.
