Spitfire IX armament

Hello ,

A close look at pictures of BS456 UZ-Z and BS459 UZ-T shows that both aircraft weren't fitted with outboard .303s , so only two 20mm and two .303s ? Was it peculiar of that batch ? Or only with Sq 306 ?
