P51B Maintenance hatch : where on A/C ?

Hi Guys,

where do you think this small maintenance door comes from ? (P51B)

there is a small marking (barely legible at the beginning: ...3D088 ?

Size 16cm/16cm

I just had a feed back where I was said :

"It appears as 106-31088 Door Assy - Engine removable cowling - oil filler access and the drawing no. is Q248"

could somedbody around here check and confirm ?

if possible, visualizing on A/C would be great.

From photos, I can only see 3 hatches/inspection covers/filler flaps in the cowling area of a P-51.
From the description above, I'd say the one indictated here is the most likely candidate.


Hopefully someone will be able to confirm 100%.
