Early Blenheim Mk1V armament
I was wondering if anyone could confirm something about the 0.303 Browning machine gun mounted in the leading edge of the Port wing. When it was operated were the spent cartridges totally ejected or were they retained in some type of container for re-use. A Blenheim 1V crash Im researching has quite a few fired bullet cases found at the crash site....Im assuming these were from the port wing machine gun and must somehow have been retained on board the aircraft. If anyone could confirm this would be great....cheers Julian

Re: Early Blenheim Mk1V armament
As far as I can assertain from a photograph of the drawings the cartridges are ejected through a slot aft of the 0.303 m/g. 500 rounds.
