Kesselring's He111 shot down by Bf109?

Hi guys

Reading ON SPECIAL MISSIONS by J. Richard Smith, Eddie Creek and Peter Petrick, I note that on page 63 reference is made to Kesselring's personal He111 (P4+AA?) being shot down in error by a Bf109 of JG27 sometime in 1942 (so it seems).

Only Kesselring's personal pilot Werner Muffey and Willy Mensching survived.

Has anyone details, please?
