Lt. Gottfried Dietze (5)
His first victory, a Spitfire SW of Cape Gris Nez on 21 July, 1941.
His 2nd, a Spitfire 8 km SW of Calais on 20 September, 1941.
His 3rd, a B-17 10 km northwest of Coxyde on 1 December, 1943 (Perry Claims).
Nos. 4 & 5, both Auster's near Krefeld on 5 March, 1945.


2/JG-26 (7/41), 8/JG-26, 1/JG-26 (12/43), 7/JG-26 (10/44), Stfkpt 7/JG-26 (1/45 to end)
Bf 109E-7 & Bf 109F4 Werk # 7190 "Black 7" (lost) in 2 Staffel, Fw 190A-8 in 8 Stf, Fw 190D-9
EK 1 & 2, Wound Badge, Fighter Operational Clasp

Shot down with wounds 27 September, 1941 over his Clairmarais airfield in his F-4 Werk # 8365 "Black 5". He bailed successfully. WIFA 31 May, 1942 suffering facial burns when his A-2 Werk # 5295 developed a cockpit fire. He quickly returned to and landed at Arques airfield. Also known to have flown Fw 190A-2 "Black 12" at Arques, which may have been Werk # 5295. Bodenplatte pilot. 159 combat missions.
Dietze replaced Radener as Stfkpt 7/JG-26 when Radener became Kdr II/JG-26. His war ended when he was hospitalized for a chronic illness on 14 April, 1945.

do you have more details about this loss? Somebody else?
It seems that plane suffered an accident on 12/2/1942, while in I./JG 2, Fl.Pl. Katwijk (Valkenburg) - 75%. Crashed: hit ground obstacle.
