P-38 codes.

Hi guys,

I am desperately looking for any info on full codes of these P-38 Lightnings of 82.FG both lost on June 26, 1944
42-104393
43-28771
Any info and help would be appreciated

Are you sure you have the correct dates? I have 2nd Lt. Ray W. Allen, MIA, MACR 6327 dated July 9, 1944 (42-104393).
And 2nd Lt. Allen J. Wisner, POW, MACR 6340 dated July 7, 1944 (43-28771).

HI Ed,

If I did not meet Wisner, and my friends did not excavate both planes, I would not be sure of the dates...but I am SURE about June 26, 1944. Correct your database...
any idea about fusselage codes? full ones, expected beginning as for squadron are known...
