3.(F)/AufklGr22 loss 6/7/1943?

On eBay here is an interesting photo of a crashed Klemm Kl35. The aircraft has the vbkz 4N+AL and presumably then an aircraft of 3.(F)/Aufkl.Gr.22. On the rear are some details of the crash, unfortunately this becomes increasingly unreadable. The date 6.7.43 is clear, and the crew appear to be a Ofw Falke and Oblt ?. Can anyone provide more details?

Cheers

Ian

Re: 3.(F)/AufklGr22 loss 6/7/1943?

Another one of those danged WNr. conflicts. I have the following from the Gen.Qu. loss records: 06-Jul-43, , Kl 35, 3091, Paul, Oblt. Erwin, , , 3.(F), 22, , 4N+AL, DH+CH, , Crew injured in crash due to engine trouble., B Ofw. Karl Falke, , Lfl.1/Eins.Osten, Gen.Qu.6.Abt. (mfm #11)-Vol.19; e-Bay photo, , Fl.Pl. Dno, 50%, H,

Matti, I presume you have the report from the WASt or NLV?

Re: 3.(F)/AufklGr22 loss 6/7/1943?

To add to the confusion... according to http://www.stammkennzeichen.de/

Kl 35, 3088, DH+CH
Kl 35, 3091, DH+CK

...all part of a Kl 35 block

DD+BX is shown to have been with 3(F)/22 since Aug 1941.

Yes, my info is from NVM. I know, that in GQM WNr. is 3091, but I think, that NVM is more reliable (at least so far). Confusion continues.

Matti, agreed that the NVM are usually the more reliable source. Agravating as it may be, resolving these conflicts is what continues to make this stuff so interesting. All I can say is thank you for your continued efforts in helping the members of this forum.

You are welcome, Jim! I am always happy, when I can solve somebody's problem (and not so happy, when I cannot).
