Ltn Otto Ertel Lw Ehrenpokal holder
Hi again!
Anybody knows about him Ltn Otto Ertel I know only that he has Ehrenpokal 01/09/42 His aerial victory claims included the following: Date, Rank, Unit, Type of Aircraft Claimed 12.04.1940, Feldwebel, 6./J.G. 77, Hampden 24.06.1940, Feldwebel, 6./J.G. 77, Blenheim 15.02.1941, Oberfeldwebel, 5./J.G. 77, Beaufort 30.07.1943, Oberleutnant, II./Kdo. Herrmann, Lancaster 30.07.1943, Oberleutnant, II./Kdo. Herrmann, Lancaster 28.08.1943, Oberleutnant, 5./J.G. 300, Viermot It would be desirable to learn about it more and if probably the photo Thanks |

1943-11-26, Stab JG 300, Fi 156C-3, 110238, Jungeroth, 11 km südöstlich Hennef (Sieg), Absturz. Bruch 100 %.

This info is from NVM. As far as I know, theres is no site, where you could get full information on pilots or other crew members. Only real possibility is different databases built by private researchers, but access to them needs personal contacts. Of course individual information requests will be answered almost always in discussion forums.

He was born on 13th August 1914. On 12th April 1940 he claimed a British Hampden, but was then himself captured when he force-landed his Bf109 at Mandal, Norway, but was released five days later. He was killes on 26th November 1943 when he crashed his Fi156 at Jünkerth, Germany during a transfere flight.
His claims were:- 12th April 1940 6./Jg77 Fw Hampden S-W of Kristiansand 1400 hrs Nr.1 26th June 1940 6./Jg77 Fw Blenheim West of Stavanger 1400 hrs Nr.2 15th February 1941 5./Jg77 Ofw Lannilis area 1853 hrs u/c 27th June 1941 6./Jg77 Ofw DB-3 1140 hrs Nr.3 30th July 1943 II./Kdo.Herr Oblt at Hamburg 0055 hrs 5000 metres o.z-a.s.m Nr.4 30th July 1943 II./Kdo.Herr Oblt at Hamburg 0105 hrs 4000 metres o.z-a.s.m Nr.5 28th August 1943 5./Jg300 Oblt Stirling at Nremberg 0215 hrs 4800 metres A.S.M Nr.6 Regards Johannes |
