Re: French P-40F

Hi Alex,

thanks for your reply, and Joe augher web site I try, but there is info only about machines transferred from RAF....or I´m blind

I would in this case helped the look on the right side of the line machines, which would be part of parade and wanted to see US serial numbers of this longtailed P-40F.

Any info about short- or longtailed P-40F in French service is welcome.

Thanks Faenor

http://www.americancombatplanes.com/p40_6.html :
The Twelfth Air Force, formed to support the American occupation of North Africa, had two Warhawk groups, the 33rd and 325th. The former flew 76 P-40Fs from the USS Chenango on November 8, 1942, but only 58 landed without damage near Casablanca. Twenty-four of those P-40Fs went to a French squadron in December 1942, which was later supplied with 49 P-40L-10s in March 1943.

For the P-40Fs / Kittyhawk FLxxx :

and
for the P-40Ls / Kittyhawk FSxxx :

Hi udf_00,

sorry for late answer, but thanks for your reply.

In this time I try compiled list of short- or long-tailed P-40F and P-40L with their fate.
