Need some info on 10/JG-11

Guys:

In reading Caldwell's 'Day Fighters In Defense of the Reich' & during 1943 to early 1944 I noticed a single staffel on detached duty to Norway & Denmark: 10/JG-11. Is there a thumbnail story of this unit? It seemed like it led a somewhat autonomous existence kind of like 11/JG-26 & like 11/JG-26 it didn't seem to have a lot of effectiveness or luck in action against 'The Mighty Eighth'.

Thanks ahead of time.

Thanks; kind of like that staffel from JG-2 that helped V/KG 40 keep watch over 'Bloody Biscay'; I am also guessing that it had a role to play in harassing Coastal Command operations in the area.

Re: Need some info on 10/JG-11

10/JG 11 were part of Kdo. Skagerrak wich consisted of 10+A-Staffel at Aalborg-East and 11/JG 11 at Lister Norway.
10. Staffel was not set up to perfom a special task. But it was tasked with reich defense and besides that used to try to catch the courier aircraft between Sweden-England, in daylight-dusk. At night it was performed by 10/NJG 3.

Yes 10 Staffel transferred from Denmark to France june 44, and never came back.
