Loss of an Italian Cant Z1007bis on November 8, 1942...

I am posting this request on behalf of a local researcher, friend of mine, who has been given the task of researching about the loss of a three-engine bomber Cant Z1007 bis that took place on November 8, 1942.

The plane (on a reconnaissance mission?) took off from Trunconi airfield in Sardinia and never came back, with the loss of Ten. Pilota Cesare Pastore, his co-pilot S.Ten. Pilota Plaino and the rest of the crew.

Since that day saw also the Allied landings in Marocco and Algeria, that could be one connection, others may have been an accident or some encounter with British aircraft.

Should any of you have any further info or suggestion, that would be very welcome.

Thanks in advance.
