Identity of Luftwaffe Zerstorer Pilots
Hi,

Please look at scans and see if you can identify any of these Zerstorer crew?

Notation on back of photo details names but I find it hard to decipher.

Ede Klaas
Hans Pickl
Emil Schneider
Franz Reinisch(e)

A Uffz. Eduard Klaas (Ede = german short for Eduard) was KIA with 4./ZG76 in 1944, maybe its the one in your photo ?

4.(H)/12 would have been a recon unit, ZG 76 a heavy-fighter/Zerstorer unit.

It is possible, because when ZG 76 was formed for the second time, many personnel of recon units were taken to ZG 76. e.g. 3. Staffel Nahaufklärungsgruppe 4, 3. Staffel Aufklärungsgruppe 1 and 3 Staffel Nahaufklärungsgruppe 12. No record of 4.(H)/12 as mentioned, but possible?
