Vsailiy Borisovich Yemeyanenko (born 16 Jan 1912) was awarded the Golden Star (HSU) 13 April 1944 as Captain and reg.shturman of 7 GOShAP (Separate Guards Assault Aviation Regiment), 230 ShAD, 4th Air Army, then at the North-Caucasian Front. His memoirs were published in Russian in 1985.

Just a must-buy.

Very well-written, detailed, almost non-politicized. Southern sector of Ostfront from 42 onwards.

O yes, now I recognize it. It was published in Yugoslavia in early 80's and was the second WW2 aviation book I ever read (the first one was Deighton's Fighter). Very good stuff, exceptionally well written, it became one of my all-time favourites.
