Ed,

Thanks again for your excellent haul:

http://www.ebay.de/itm/ws/eBayISAPI....#ht_500wt_1156
Most probably a Bf 109 G-14, W.Nr. unknown "Schwarze 75", of an unknown training unit, as we don't known the location where this pic was taken. Note the classic Erla Leipzig camouflage.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI...#ht_500wt_1370
Bf 109 G-6/AS or G-14/AS, W.Nr. and unit unknown, Bayreuth, May 1945. Note that Arado Ar 96 "DE+NT" bears W.Nr. 4120.

See thread "Late war Bf 109 picture source, post no 314: http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showth...=27108&page=32

Wow, lovely haul.

I likethe crash landed BF109G of IV/JG-27, notice the two small bars behind the Balkenkreuz.

And all the NJ Ju-88 pictures are intersting.

Franck!

'tar she blows! You opened my eyes! I saw this fairing and just thought it was an odd piece of junk not belonging to the plane!

Great, thanks! As for the cowling, I don't see the G-6/G-8 bulges; same for the back of the old bulges: nothing to be seen. Thus, I thought /AS... You see really the old bulges? I don't...

Cheers
Marc

Any thoughts about these two small bars? Were they standard or special?

Ther rear part of the bulge could be removed easily for servicing the MG131s. It was not press-formed and part of the cowling like the front part.

In this photo one can see the curved trace left by these parts rearward of the spent cartridge chutes. In fact, you can see the standard bulge in the cowling lying on the ground .

Hello Ed,

1/ This not the first time this picture is put to auction. One or two months ago.
2/ This marking was used by IV./JG 27 for a short time only during summer 1943; So, yes it was standard but just for a short time. after they did back to IV gruppe wave.
3/ Most probably that picture - eBay one - has been taken at Kalamaki ... in summer 1943.

Note different length!

Regards, Franck.

Me too, don't worry; Took me a long time to get it; first I thought it was kind of a photoshop!
And the-ivan told it; just behind the air scoop.

Cheers, Franck.
