64 Squadron RAF

Hello I am looking into the 30th July 1942 when this squadron was involved with elements of JG26 and several FW-190S were shot down can any one tell me the 64 Sqn pilots who made claims for shooting down any of the 190's.

Regards Steven

Re: 64 Squadron RAF

Hi Steven,

John Foreman's 'FC Victory Claims of WW2 Pt 2' provides this breakdown of claims for 64 Sqn 30/7/42:

S/L WGGD Smith: Fw 190

S/L Smith & Lt Arne Austeen (Nor): Fw 190

P/O JK Stewart: Fw 190

F/O MGLM Donnet (Belg): Fw 190

The combat took place in the St Omer area, 19.15 hrs

Cheers,
Bruce
