KG27 'Boelcke'

On the night of 24/25 May 1940, KG27 raided the North of England. Does anyone know the Staffeln/Gruppen involved and the base(s) they flew from? Any help appreciated.

Re: KG27 'Boelcke'

Bill: Where did you get the info it was KG 27. They were based at Hannover-Langenhagen (Stab & I), Delmenhorst (II) and Wunsdorf (III) at the start of the invasion

Chris. MJF Bowyer The Battle of Britain - 50 years on (1990) p22. If it's true, KG27 would be a rare visitor indeed. The town was bombed - but I would have been more inclined towards KG4 or KG26. Bill
