Messerschmitt Me 210/Me 410 Hornet Classic Publications

Friends,

what is your view on that book on Willy Messerschmitt's failure to produce a useable successor for the old 110-Zerstörer type?

Is it worth buying as it was produced by Classic publications?

Regards,
Stefan

Do you have the Zerstörer book by Petrick, Mankau et al from Aviatic/Schiffer? In my opinion the Aviatic/Schiffer book is much superior to the Classic one, though the latter is quite OK too.

Jukka,

i have the Aviatic one. I thought that one might be obsolete now after the Classic publication print came out.

I understand that is not the case?

Regards,
Stefan

I haven't compared them side by side, but the text of the newer book appears to be a greatly condensed version of the ext in Aviatic. Whereas the Aviatic reproduces many of the minutes verbatim, the newer one doesn't, and that is a great pity IMHO. Illustrations do differ, however. But, as far as text goes, I did not discover anything new in the newer book, while plenty of what was in the old isn't in the new one.
