Is this Hptm Gerd Roth 3/KG4?
Hi,
Recently bought this photo on Ebay. It is said to be Hptm Gerd Roth from 3/KG4 in early Summer 1940. Can anyone confirm this? What was his eventual fate? thanks Rick

I have a photo of Karl-Gerd Roth taken Aug 39 and it looks the same. He moved to take command of IV/KG 4 in Jun 40 and was still alive (as a Major) in Jan 45. Suggest you look at Larry & Doug's site for more information

Hello friends,
in Karl Gundelach´s book "Kampfgeschwader General Wever 4" you can find a pictur of Hptm. Roth taken on the same occasion as the pic above, at least it looks so. The caption reads "taken at Soesterberg" if this is of any interest. Oh, and yes, this is Hptm. Roth. Schoene Gruesze Norbert
