Amiot 351/354 - Yugoslavian Production Licence
Hi Everyone,
In August'39, the French Air Ministry declined the proposal from a Yugoslavian airframer to manufacture the Amiot under licence for 150 A/C, 50 for the YAF & 100 for the FAF. The delivery of engines & various components plus a french assistance to start the production in Yugoslavia at the begining were the main difficulties which lead to decline the offer. Does anyone know the name of this Yugoslavian airframer? Best Regards Jerome |

Hello Boris,
Thanks for the info. What is the source of your information to confirm this? Re the "Ikarus" company, I know that sole current A/C in production was the IK-2 fighters which used the 860 hp Hispano Suiza 12Ycrs engine. Regards Jerome |

Re: Amiot 351/354 - Yugoslavian Production Licence
According to article published in Let.br.3 (Yugoslav Aviation museum yearbook) and written by Ognjan Petrovic, Ikarus director Dimitrije Konjovic and chief ing. Dusan Brakus, which were in visit to France received an unofficial offer to manufacture some of the modern French types, including Amiot 350, both for Yugoslav and French AF, on 10 May 1940. Of course nothing of a kind ever materialized.
