Sonderführer Willi Brandt

Does anyone know what happened to the photos of the above, who flew with 2/KG 27 up to Nov 40 and then I/KG 40 until May 41? His son Eckart who lived in Quickborn had them in 1979 but I now cannot trace him or the photos/negatives

Hello Chris,

Photos of KG 27 from Brandt were sold on e-bay some times ago. I was in touch with him in the 80's about KG 40 but he never gave suite...

Hth
Best regards
Marc

Thanks Marc. I have some of his photos but I know there were many more so it is a shame they have gone

Don't think eBay give away the winning bidder any more. I would have been interested but timing was wrong (and Mrs G gave me the death stare when I mentioned it)

Red face Re: Sonderführer Willi Brandt

I know the feeling well Chris , but there are times when it's best to say nothing to the Mrs. Again it was a super collection of material , just too bad I saw it too late

Re: Sonderführer Willi Brandt

Hmmm... is that death stare something our spouses learn or is it genes all the way? (Guys with peculiar and expensive hobbies will always be attracted to women with death stare ability...

I seem to have the same issue, and for some reason the I got it cheap or someone was going to throw it away doesn't work anymore...

Regards,
Andreas B
