Silent Hunter Series

Does anyone here play any Silent Hunter games or any Naval Simulation for that matter?

I'm big into all kinds of simming. Land warfare, air warfare, naval warfare...grand strategy....everything. I love Silent Hunter 1-4. SUBSIM and U-boot HAHD are my usual forums.

Ahoi, Herr Kaleun !

Yep, playing SH3 (GWX 3.0 mod).
Also playing a lot of HPS Simulations wargames (Panzer Campaigns serie).
What I'm mostly interested in, is the modding aspects : really adds a lot of immersion.

Re: Silent Hunter Series

I used to, but the last couple of years rarely.

SH-series, many other sims and strategy games.

Currently one game that I enjoy is Wargame: European Escalation.
Ah, sometimes I get the urge to play a battle with Total War, either Empire or Napoleon.

Current Shogun 2 engine would be able to handle a modern era up to 1850 to 1905 or so perfectly - one can dream.

Main gaming now - for easy relaxation - racing or fps, with some xcom strategy in between.

Trying my hand on rc helis now - which is pretty difficult!

Re: Silent Hunter Series

I have recently started playing Silent Hunter 4 in the past couple of months... I think that and SH3 are the best subsims out there...

Of course we can't leave out Dangerous Waters...
