lucky find in the Aegean
Hi gents,
A trawler from the island of Naxos brought with its nets near Ikaria a valuable Arado 196 on the surface. A part of it. The bird was lying aprox. 480 m deep. I think, i have it in my book, it must be: 28.02.44 Ar 196 A3 (W.Nr. 0216) 100% infolge Maschinenschadens vor der Insel Nikaria notgewassert, beim Abschleppversuch umgekippt und gesunken.
