¿heinz bär in a fw190a7 yellow12?

hi to all,
i have a simple question,

i see in this web Bär used a FW 190 A-7 "yellow 12 " 6./JG 1 in 21 February 1944

http://www.354thpmfg.com/images/Matt...eMonday_10.pdf

it was true or false?

i think he used fw190a7 "yellow 7" and "yellow 13" in 1944...but nothing about "yellow 12"...

many thanks,
regards

Hi,

Based on information in his logbook, on 21 February 1944 Heinz Bär flew an FW 190 marked 12 + . The article you linked to was written by Thierry Kleinprintz, and I believe he used Bär's logbook as a source.

Cheers,
Andrew A.

Re: ¿heinz bär in a fw190a7 yellow12?

Do You know: Ernst Bär was brother or member of familliy for Heinz Bär (also from JG1 ( later JG 11) ) ?

"...Hauptmann Ernst Bär star-ended on 18 August 1943 at a workshop-flight. He was a member of the bar of Jagdgeschwader (JG) 11, which was created in April 1943 by the division of Jagdgeschwader 1 Both German fighter squadrons were mainly used for defense Allied bomber attacks on the former Reich. Bär flew on that day a Messerschmidt Bf 109, exactly the model Bf 109 G-6 / Y, which is found as a guiding machine for Season and group leaders use. When he fell Carolinensiel unknown reason from this machine. Further investigations were not successful. At the crash site in Wangerland is erected a wooden cross, which later found its place at the air base in Upjever.

Even the names of two other pilots who were from 1943 to 1986 were missing, their place on this cross in Upjever, which was replaced in the sequence by a memorial stone. ..."

Re: ¿heinz bär in a fw190a7 yellow12?

Hi to all
Thanx to Andrew Arthy for quoting me as author of the story on 354thpmfg.com. I really used Bär's second logbook and war diary of John D Mattie. Thanx too to Peglar on this forum who kindly shared a copy of the logbook (Please read the footnotes which quote the used sources.)
Heinz Bär was the only son of a farmer's familly and had no brother.
Regards Thierry
