What the heck is a German "L3" Aircraft?
I have a flight book (German) used by a Croatian pilot...who flew with the Luftwaffe.
He shows numerous flights in the Bu181, Fw44, Ar196...and an L3. These flights were over Austria in 1944. The only L3 I know of is the US Liason aircraft. Is it possible the Luftwaffe wase heavily using an L3 at this point of time? He has around 100 flights in various L3's during this time. Any thoughts? Thanks... |

Re: What the heck is a German "L3" Aircraft?
Hi Mike,
Lombardi 3 Hard to find like that, but search for Avia FL 3. LW got 250 of them use in FFS A/B 14 and A/B 2 .... If I remember well Peter Evans wrote some posts in LEMB about it. First built as tourism light plane in Vercelli; 21km from Santhià ... where I live. Cheers, Franck. |
