Koldunov and 22 November 1944
On this date Koldunov made 3 claims for fighters shot down (2 Fw190 and a Bf109). The locations are Zmaevats, and Batin and another place that translates from Russian as "Apathy". He claims another victory (FW190) at Batin three days earlier. Now the problem....
I had thought that Batin was in Bulgaria, but there is another Batin in Bosnia-Herzegovina (Yugoslavia as it was then). My questions are... Which Batin is it? Where is Zmaevats and "Apathy" (I assume they are close to Batin) Which Axis units were involved. I assume Luftwaffe, but maybe Hungarian? regards Keith |

Re: Koldunov and 22 November 1944
Locations are Batina and Apatin (not Batin). Fw 190F-8 of 5./SG.10, WNr.: 583061 was shot down at Batina-E. Pilot Ofw. Hans Schopper was KIA.

Thanks mate, Croatia/Serbia it is. I assume that Zmaevats is in that area but haven't found it yet.
