Seeking published source for III./StG1 photo of a Ju87B with the name "Boulogne" painted on the cowling

Hello,

For profile work I'm seeking a photo that was the basis for a black and white profile drawing in the book "Ju87 Stuka: Classic Aircraft No.5 Their history and how to model them" P16 by Robertson and Scarborough. This would have been from back in the 1960s or 1970s. The profile is inaccurate, purporting it to be A5+BR of 7./StG1. They got the unit correct but I believe that the coding should be J9+BL. The a/c has the name -Boulogne- painted diagonally in white across the port cowling. I know that I've seen the photo that this is based upon published somewhere over the years, but can't find it at the moment. Can anyone point me to where that photo was published or have a scan of it they can send me?

Thanx for your help,

Larry Hickey

Hi Larry,
the photo is in one of the old Kookaburra 'Luftwaffe Camouflage & Markings' (I think vol. 1)

Giampiero

Thank you. I found the photo on P. 29 of "Luftwaffe Colors" Vol 2 1940-43, by J.R. Smith & J.D. Gallaspy, from Monogram Aviation Publications (1976).

Does anyone know the original source for this photo? B.A., ECPA?

Regards,
