Germany? Or Austria Photos?

Maybe some of you might be able to help me locate where these pictures were taken. My aunt sent them to me and some of the buidlings have signs on them, and I`m wondering if anyone might be able to tell me what they say and where they were located around 1944-1948
Thank you,
Char

Re: Germany? Or Austria Photos?

The building sign on the third photo says "Kurheim St. Raphael" (so approximately "St. Raphael Spa Hotel"). I googled that and it's in Bad Schallerbach, Austria.

In the fourth, the sign "Alois Schutz" is just a personal name.

Re: Germany? Or Austria Photos?

Nick, Thank you very much. We know that my Father and his Mother had to go to a DP Camp and wondering where they might have been and also, my Grandmother placed my Father in a Catholic Orphange later for protection, so we were thinking this might have been the place possibly. Also, I tried to translate the Alois Schutz and it just translated Alois Protection. also. in the pic of my Grnamother Charlotte she is on the bottom rar right hand corner in the picture where the ladies are wearing tank tops ....wondering where they might have been and why they had the swastika on the front....

The Party puts its brand on practically every club and civil organisation in Germany when it took power, as well as having any number of its own. It could be a sports organisation of some kind but this isn't an area I know about.
