This is a real puzzle ..

Look at this ring: it was found by a friend of mine in a FW190 crash site near les Mureaux/Chapet/verneuil (close to Paris) and it "might" have happened on 5 July 1944 (not sure)

inside is writen "Helga 29 X 1942"

He thought of
Flugzeugführer Hans-Helmut Beitz (*) but is not sure of this.

Can anybody help put the pieces together ?

Thanks

GC

(*)
1943-09-23, 10./JG 2, FW 190A-6, 550515, Les Mureaux, 36 km nordwestlich Paris, Absturz um 13.10 Uhr beim Start und Aufschlagbrand. Bruch 100 %.
Flugzeugführer Lt Beitz, Hans-Helmut, verletzt (Lt Beitz am 1943-09-29 seinen Verletzungen erlegen) St.Désir-de-Lisieux/Frankreich, Block 1, Reihe 8, Grab 156
Thanks to Matti for this info !
