9./KG1 - any idea of a good reference
I am looking for more information on this - for me - unknown unit.
One of the Danish volunteer Luftwaffe pilots, A T Harild, supposedly served in this unit at Orel 1943 flying JU88. TIA, Mikkel Plannthin |

KG 1
Hi Mikkel,
Unfortunatley at the moment no comprehensive unit history exists for KG 1, the only book I have found with "some" crew listings is "Die Ritterkreuzeträger 1939-1945 KG 1 Hindenburg" by Ralf Schumann, regrettably it is not a complete personnel listing though does give some loss listings by staffel and winners of the KC, DKiG etc.. Sadly again your flyer is not listed though it sounds that he may have survived his time w/KG 1 and as a result would not be found. Sorry not much else. BTW my wife and I were in Copenhagen last April, great city!! Cheers Jeremy |

KG1
Thanks, Jeremy. I know for a fact, that he survived the war, but I have not got any further references on him.
At my desk in the center of sunny, but cold Copenhagen :-) Mikkel |
