92 Squadron May 23, 1940
Can anyone confirm details of the claims made by this squadron over Dunkirk on this date/ I was looking through AH and John Foreman's FCVC and there's quite a difference.
Bob Tuck seems to have been credited with 2 confirmed and an unconfirmed but were these confirmed Bf110 or Bf109s or one of each? There's also confusion over the claims awarded to Tony Bartley, Desmond Williams, Barraclough, Bob Holland and Allan Wright. I have read that they were credited with 16 kills on this date but FCVC lists 11 confirmed (2 Bf109, 7 Bf110 and 2 Ju880 and 10 unconfirmed (6 Bf109, 4 Bf110). Other sources add to the tally. |
