Bf109G-? "Doppelgänger"

A friend of mines grandfather flew with 2./JG 3 during the Ardennes offensive and Bodenplatte until mid february or march. He told me that there was one Bf109G-? That had the name "Doppelgänger" on the side of the cockpit.

Has anyone heard of this 109? Thanks in advance for any comments.
