P-38 lost in 17.06.1944 ?
Bonjour,
Please what was the P-38 lost list occured in 17.06.1944 in ETO and possibly their winner? Thank you Greetings Phil. |

Hello Phil,
There were 11 MACR's for this date. They are: MACR 5672; 5938; 5941; 5958; 5965; 6057; 6278; 6489; 6502; 6503; 6608.( 3POW's; 2 Evader's; 6 KIA's). There were 2 accidental losses for this date. They were 44-66770 in California and one unknown that failed to take off from the runway at Ibsley in the UK, pilot safe but three Ground crew killed when bombs exploded. That's all I have, there may well be others that I am not aware of. All the very best for 2014. Alex |
