Karel Posta 312 squadron

I own some notebooks belonging to Karel Posta, a pilot with 312 (Czechoslovak) Squadron.

((Scans of the notebooks are here http://photobucket.com/albums/v605/d...Karel%20Posta/ ))

I haven't been able to find out much info on Posta apart from the fact that he was awarded the DFC at some point and that he seems to have survived the war. I was wondering if anyone either had any infomation on him or could suggest any good sources.

Thanks in advance,

Lizzie

Hi Lizzie,

Were you in e-mail contact with my colleague Pavel Vancata after his note on the Czechoslovak Airmen forum in June last year ? I don´t know what was mentioned by him already and in what is possible to help about this famous Spitfire acrobat now.

Regards,
Michal

Heya! Thanks for your reply

What I found out from Pavel was that Posta was one the best Czech spitfire pilots and that he was known for his aerobatics, also that some of the written pages in the notebook are combat reports, which I hadn't realised as my Czech is only basic!
