Major Weissenberger Question

I am looking to verify some information if possible,

Was Major Weissenberger, flying ME 262's with JG 7, accredited any B-17 kills on March 18, 1945 specifically a bomber from the 401st Bomb Group. Also at that time did Major Weissenberger's ME fly out of an airfield near Brandenburg-Briest?

Thanks for anyhelp

Re: Major Weissenberger Question

According to Messerschmitt Me262 Combat Diary by John Foreman & S.E. Harvey he is listed with 3 Fortress kills on that day. It mentions that his third could of been from the 100th Bomb Group but it doesn't mention anything about the first two other than that they belonged to 1st Air Division.

Re: Major Weissenberger Question

In JG-7 by Manfred Boehme it states that the jets on that day took off from Brandenburg-Briest and Oranienburg. In the narrative it doesn't identify the US units involved.

Thanks Hucks216,

I was trying to confirm information I saw in ...
The Luftwaffe over Germany : defense of the Reich
Donald L Caldwell; Richard Muller

I was caught it in passing and didn't have time to check the book's references...
