Re: Capt Orsinger Keith A 366 FG
Alain, Horst,
P-47 42-75140 is on the USAAF loss list with date 22 Feb 1944 flying with 353rd FG. Capt Orsinger officially was with 366th FG. Perhaps both FGs thought the other FG would file a MACR, and as a rseult none was made at all at that time? P-47 42-75140 is indeed often represented as with 56th FG, but probably a mix-up here with 42-75410 (HV-M). Opinions welcome. Further losses of 353rd FG that day were 42-75065 (Edison, KIA, crashed at Ekeren, Belgium), 75226 (Beckham, POW, Berg-Neukirchen, Germany), 75647 (Wood, KIA, North Sea) and 75653 (Hurlburt, KIA, North Sea). Footnote.com has no match with Keith A. Orsinger either. Regards, Leendert |
