List of all 488(NZ) Squadron victories
A new page has been added to my site, with a list of all 488(NZ) Squadron's victories displayed in tabular form for quick reference.
http://broodyswar.wordpress.com/488n...ron-victories/ Just one caveat - these are all air-air victories for the Squadron's second incarnation in the UK. It does not include, therefore, any Singapore action or locomotives. Adam http://broodyswar.wordpress.com |

Re: List of all 488(NZ) Squadron victories
Thanks for that. Reading the comments, I would argue against one: the majority appear to have been bombers, with night fighters not appearing until operations over Belgium. All the claims over the UK or the beachhead are certain or much likelier to have been bombers.

Graham - you are right. The comment about Night Fighters was from one of my followers. 488's function prior to and immediately after D Day was to defend the UK from Luftwaffe bombers.
You might want to re-post your comments below on the blog for Pierre to see? |
