Identification of FW 190s

Starting to sort through a mass of FW 190 photos, I have come across a number showing Wk Nrs; can anyone identify them and fate/unit?

**50476 16 kill markings on rudder all of which are roundels
FW 190 A-8 587118
410055 5 kills on rudder JG 1 or JG 11?
2700 Black or red 8. FW 190 A-5 possibly III/JG 1

Re: Identification of FW 190s

Hi Chris,

WNr. 50476 is presumably FW 190 A-6 WNr. 550 476 'White 11 + ' of 1./J.G. 1, pilot Oblt. Georg Schott, 100% 27.09.43

WNr. 410 055: 35% on 17.08.43 with 1./J.G. 1, pilot Uffz. Bernhard Kunze (5 victories at that point); 65% on 19.10.43 with I./J.G. 1, pilot Ofw. Fritz Bahl. Photo of the tail appears in Mombeeck's Jagdgeschwader 1 book (French edition), p.193.

WNr. 2700: 65% on 12.08.43 with I./J.G. 11

WNr. 1312: 30% on 18.06.43 with 6./J.G. 54

That was just a quick search. No doubt others will add more.

Cheers,
Andrew A.

Re: Identification of FW 190s

Hi Chris,

Forgot to mention, WNr. 587 118 is an FW 190 F-8. Jim Crow has photographs of a nearby aircraft, WNr. 587 108 'White 48 + '.

Cheers,
Andrew A.

Re: Identification of FW 190s

Thanks Andrew. Of interest, 2700/Black 8 has the name "Rüberzahl" (?) on the fuselage just forward of the cockpit
