S/L Scherf & S/L Cleveland - 16th May 1944
Sorry if asking an obvious thing but - that mission when S/L Scherf, flying a Mosquito of 418 Sqn, knocked down five enemy a/c (16th May 1944) - was it a night Intruder mission or day Ranger mission?
One more thing - Andrew Thomas in his book "Mosquito Aces of World War 2" mentions that one of Scherf's victims fell near "Parrow airfield, on the German coast". Where is it? There is a place named Prerow nearby. Is it the one? Last edited by Lagarto; 4th March 2006 at 23:15.
