Sanitätsschule der Luftwaffe

Hi,

I would like to ask if anyone has a copy of the publication 'Luftwaffe at War' by Waldemar Trojca and Karlheinz Münch (ISBN: 978-83-60041-27-7)?

I ask, as there is an image at the top of page 97 showing a Ju87A of the above-named unit. The image shows the aircraft from the right side, but only the first part of the unit code can be seen, between the tailplane and the national marking. To my eye, the visible portion would appear to read either 'L2V+' or possibly 'LZV+'.

I find this presentation unusual in that it appears to show three characters to the left side of the national marking. Was the unit's coding in some way anomolous? Was this presentation commonplace on the unit's aircraft? Or indeed, is it perhaps a vestige of a previous code?
If anyone is able to enlighten me, I would be grateful.

Also, I am only aware of images showing the Ju87A with the unit insignia of a snake entwined round a staff or rod, with stylised wings near the top of the insignia and a swastika on a white disc centred between them. I find the Ju87A an unusual choice of aircraft to use in this type of unit but imagine other types may have been used as well. Would anyone have such images they would be willing to share, especially if they carry the unit insignia?

Regards,

Paul
