Ofw. Georg Weinmann, Stab IV./JG 5, 14 October 1943
On 14 October 1943, the Ar 96 WNr 4245 of Stab IV./JG 5 was lost at sea off Hommelvik, Norway, after engine failure. The pilot was Ofw. Georg Weinmann.
I have two questions about this loss: 1) one of my source says that Weinmann was wounded, and another that he was killed. He is not shown on the Volksbund database, but that is not a proof he survived. Can someone confirm his fate ? 2) can someone give me the sub-type of this Ar 96 ? Thanks in advance

According to NVM Georg Weinmann was only wounded. He died 2005-04-12.
