Fw 190 crash, Austria, 26 October 1944

Hello,

I found this on the Net:

"Roitham, 26.10.1944, 13.30 Uhr

THis loss is not listed in the book « Verluste der deutschen Luftwaffe in Österreich September 1943 bis März 1945 », by Hans Handig and Mag. Martin Handig. Öfn nachrichten Sonderheft 30.

The unit given above as "4. SS-Staffel 103" should be 4./SG 103, that was based at Hörsching at this time.

The pilot can't be found on the Volksbund database, but it is not unusual for a death in Austria and Germany, if he was buried privately.

Can someone confirm this loss and give more details ?

Thanks in advance
