I./KG26 1H+CB september 11th 1940 August Dreyer

Hi,

I research following force landet He111.
It would be great if you can help me with additional informations or even pictures of the crew and especially of Uffz. August Dreyer.

The plane force landed on September 11th 1940 and was marked 1H+CB.

I have some informations from here: http://www.wingleader.co.uk/wp-conte...4samplepdf.pdf

The name is misspelled as "Breyer".

I also have the losses from KG26 from "Die Spur des Löwen" book.
There the name is spelled correct as Dreyer.

Pictures of the crew with life vests would be very very great! :-)

Best regards,
Lukas

Hello Lukas,

For the EoE Project, we have all the photos from the cited book in our DB, plus a couple of others. However, none show the crew wearing their life vests. Can you ID the specific crew members in the photos? Do you have a close up of the aircraft showing its markings and/or insignia? Our photos show it burning out in the background, but none that show the a/c from close up, or before it crashed.

What do you have?

Hi Larry,

Thank you very much for reply!
Too bad that there are no more pictures.

Do you maybe know which crewmember on the pictures is Dreyer?
If he is even photographed...

I got Dreyers life vest.
It is named and also marked from a british soldier with the dates of the force landing.
Historical very interesting!

Best regards,
Lukas
