BF109's produced by Focke Wulf

Hi

I keep reading that Focke Wulf produced Bf109E-1's during 1939. I cannot find any sources or information.

I'm assuming it was a small block.

Has anyone got a list of the W.Nr's (block siz(s)) and possibly production time scales?

regards

MS

Hi MS,
they produced Bf 109 from March to September 1939. W.Nr. 4001 through 4090. Sources are: German Aircraft Industry and Production 1933-1945 by Vajda and Dancey, Jagdfliegerverbände series by Prien et all Teil 1.

Regards,
Norbert

Re: BF109's produced by Focke Wulf

According to RLM production plans no.7 and 8, Focke-Wulf produced a total of 123 Bf 109D W.Nr. 1 - 123 and 90 Bf 109E-1 W.Nr. 4001 - 4090.
The Werk Nummer blocks are from Hannu Valtonens book about the Bf 109.

Re: BF109's produced by Focke Wulf

"Focke-Wulf produced a total of 123 Bf 109D W.Nr. 1 - 123 " is wrong. There were no WNr. below 284, which came from Erla.

The Focke Wulf production of the Bf 109D were WNr.2066 to 2370 in four very small batches and the bulk in WNr. 2513 to 2621.

Re: BF109's produced by Focke Wulf

To Merlin:
May be the W.Nr. block I quoted from the Bf 109 book by Mr. Hannu Valtonen is wrong, but the number of Bf 109D produced by Focke-Wulf
was 123 aircraft. That can be documented in the RLM aircraft production
programs Nr. 7 and 8 which can be found in the RL 3 series at Bundesarchiv-Militärarchiv in Freiburg. I do not know what sources you have used.

Seaplanes,

I did not write that your information "Focke-Wulf produced a total of 123 Bf 109D" is wrong.
