Me 262 in IPMS USA Quarterly

In an old issue of IPMS Quarterly (vol.4 #4 ?) appeared a rough sketch of a JV 44 Me 262 carrying a laurel wreath with the number 43 (?) inside on the rear fuselage. Maybe Hans Grünberg's.
I'd very happy if someone who has this issue could scan the drawing and post it here or send it to my personal email address (see my profile).
Thanks in advance.

Chris

Here is the drawing you are asking for, this aircraft is on display in the National Air & Space Museum in Washington DC, USA.

Re: Me 262 in IPMS USA Quarterly

Dear Chris,

I certainly wouldn't take this drawing as being an accurate rendition of the Me 262 of the NASM as it appeared in storage.

Regards,
Richard

Messerschmitt Me 262, Arrow to the Future, Walter J. Boyne.

Edit: I have been having problems trying to post the last few days. "The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later." Any ideas?

Dear Revi16,

I've run into the same problem myself.

Re: Me 262 in IPMS USA Quarterly

We can also see that the sketch is wrong.

Digits 43 should be 42 (number of victories) plus seven bars and not five.
Is Hans Grünberg confirmed as the pilot or was it someone else?

Cheers
Stig
