Loss report verification

The following loss somehow does not fit, and is not 'compatible' with other sources. Any ideas? Typo in unit name?

He 111H-11 (110127) Fritz, Fw. Gustav 7./K.G. 55
07-Jul-1943 WIA in Luftkampf. 2 others WIA.
Nowo-Donpas 100% F

Regards,
Pawel

Re: Loss report verification

Hi,

All seems okay apart from the date which from my records should be 17 July 1943.

Would that resolve your query?

Regards

David

Unfortunately it does not. 7 instead of 17 was in turn a typo by me...
The problem is that there seems to be no trace of 110127/Gustav Fritz on 17 July 1943 neither in diary nor NVMs of III./55.

Kind regards,
Pawel Burchard

Cool Re: Loss report verification

Hi, guys

You have got to read the entire story before You enter the loss record in Your databases or files

Check this:

http://www.ahs.no/ref_db/lw_loss_pub...?lossid=105690

and I think You will find the reason for the 'missing' NVM

Regards,
Andreas

Thanks Andreas, but still it is strange that total loss, especially after encounter with enemy fighters, was not recorded in unit diary, even if there were no personal losses.

What are the possibilities of actually having access to the online db?

Kind regards,
Pawel
